7 Sins Bakery
Emma Sutton is the creative owner at 7 Sins Bakery, delivering devilishly indulgent bakes across Pembrokeshire and now throughout the UK’s letterboxes!
Emma has been baking for about 5 years, she had always been more of a savoury cook and claims to have had many disasters over the years with cakes so didn’t realise this was her calling.
Emma’s previous jobs had been varied but nothing like this line of work, she gave up her full-time job as an office manager to be a stay-at-home mum and began experimenting with tray-bakes and it seemed to go rather well.
Emma baked for a few years just for friends and family, parties, just for fun all whilst working as a support worker.
Then, a couple of years ago Emma was asked to step in very last minute at her son’s school Christmas fayre and was amazed at the response she received with her brownies, blondies and rocky roads and of course they were a near sell out!
It was that day, that buzz that Emma got, made her want to do it more often, so the following Autumn and Winter Emma signed up to as many local fayres and markets as she could and loved every minute of it!
Just last year Emma went along to some bigger fayres to expand her business, unfortunately all came to a sudden stop due to Covid. This wasn’t going to stop or deter Emma on her journey and so she decided to offer doorstep deliveries throughout Pembs during these unprecedented times where people were struggling to get out and about and really needed cheering up!
Emma did this until Spring this year and it was doing this that got the business name 7 Sins out there, word of mouth and lots of social media coverage on Facebook and Instagram.
7 Sins is proud to provide local cafes which is another outlet for her business and throughout this Summer has been overwhelmingly busy supplying them as well as signing up to a weekly market in Narberth.
Emma launched her full e-commerce website offering letterbox bakes UK wide at the same time. Only a few months back Emma realised that the business was growing so unexpectedly fast and that she would have to be brave and take the plunge to take on a dedicated unit to bake from.
Feelings of risk and excitement pushed Emma to find the right premises to grow the business and began transforming it back in July with the help of family and friends. Emma is excited to be able to produce even more amazing bakes in her own dedicated space.
Look out for Emma and 7 Sins deliciousness at upcoming festive fayres.
