Fishguard Bay Food Festival

A fun-packed weekend of food and drink, a producers market, cooking demos, guided walks, panel discussions on sustainable food production, health and wellbeing workshops and kids activities in various venues in Fishguard and Goodwick.
The event, organised by the Fishguard Bay Sustainable Food Initiative, is set to be a ‘vibrant celebration of local flavours and community well-being.

The festivities will kick off

on Friday, October 11, at 2pm, with the Tipple Trail.

Pubs and venues across Fishguard and Goodwick will serve locally crafted ales, ciders, and spirits, accompanied by live music.
Film enthusiasts can enjoy screenings of “Six Inches of Soil” and “Widow Clicquot” at Theatr Gwaun. Six Inches of Soil” tells the story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system, while “Widow Clicquot” tells the tale of the Veuve Clicquot champagne family and business.

On Saturday, October 12,

the festival will continue from 10am to 4pm across several venues.

The Local Producers’ Market at Ysgol Bro Gwaun will feature more than 40 stalls of artisanal, sustainable food and drink.
Visitors can enjoy gourmet street food, cooking demonstrations by chefs, and activities for children.
The day will conclude with an evening of wood-fired pizza at Point Youth Centre in Fishguard and a talk by Celtic Coasts – Sail and Trade at the Hope & Anchor in Goodwick.

The final day of the festival, Sunday,

October 13, will run from 9am to 9pm at the Phoenix Community Centre and other outdoor locations.

The day will focus on wellness, with activities such as guided nature walks, yoga and meditation sessions, and a fermentation workshop.
There will also be cooking demonstrations, craft activities for kids, and an afternoon sea swim organised by the North Pembrokeshire Bluetits.
Food and drink will be available throughout the day from the festival’s pop-up café, street food vendors, and bar.
The festival will conclude with a musical performance by DJ Uncle Funk and dishes from the Festival Kitchen. The Fishguard Bay Food Festival is free to attend, with various workshops available for pre-booking on Eventbrite.
